Why are we moving to Experience?
Georgetown is moving to Banner SaaS, which includes Experience. The advantages of SaaS (Software as a Service)
- Subscription based model of delivering software over the internet (cloud)
- Enhanced security & disaster recovery
- Environmentally friendly & smaller carbon footprint
- Overall cost savings
What if I don’t see all of the cards or roles I expect to see?
- First, try logging out and logging back in. If your role or status has changed, this will update the cards you see in the system. If you still think something is missing, please contact help@georgetown.edu and include a description or screenshot.
What is the timeline for this project?
- Fall 2022 – Present:
- Targeted meetings with stakeholder offices and sessions with UIS SIS & DBA Teams
- Creation of a parallel Banner SaaS database
- April 2023 – Summer 2023:
- Ellucian solving for GU remaining customizations and integrations
- Ongoing meetings with OUR and other key stakeholder offices
- June – July 2023:
- Workshop Demo Series with key stakeholders
- Soft Launch: Spring 2024
- Campus-wide Focus Groups
- GU Experience launches alongside MyAccess
- Summer 2024
- Cutover to Banner SaaS
